Join with Fr. Jose Panthaplamthottiyil on a parish pilgrimage to the magnificent lands of Poland and the Czech Republic. Travel to the sites so dear to Pope John Paul II, his hometown and the See of Krakow that he led for 14 years before leaving for Rome to become the Holy Father to all. Learn more about the heroism of the Polish people who have so bravely kept their Catholic Faith strong through years of many trials entrusting themselves to the love of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Come to know better the story of Divine Mercy and the mission of Sr. Faustina to spread the message of mercy and redemption for the world. Travel through the Slavic lands of Moravia and Bohemia taking in the sacred sites of the cities of Brno and Prague. Marvel at world-renowned city of Prague as you walk across ancient 12th century Charles Bridge. Encounter the "Little King" known to the world as the Infant of Prague and return home with the grace of peace of the many blessings of this pilgrimage.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Early evening departure from Orlando (MCO) on a nonstop Lufthansa Airlines flight to Frankfurt to connect up with a flight to Warsaw.
Day 2
Afternoon arrival into Warsaw, the vibrant capital city of Poland and home to famous composer Fryderyk Chopin. Warsaw is Poland's largest city located on the Vistula River. Transfer to hotel in the city center for check-in and rest. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.
Day 3
Full day excursion to one of Poland's most important pilgrimage sites, the Basilica of Our Lady of Lichen. It is the largest church in all of Poland dedicated to the "Sorrowful Mother of Poland". Learn about the story of a Polish soldier, Tomasz Klossowski, who received an apparition of Our Lady while suffering from a severe injury during the battle of Leipzig in 1813. She comforted him and promised a full recovery. She requested that he search for an image that would closely resemble a likeness to the apparition. Upon his return home he found that image and placed it on a tree in the Grablin Forest for devotion. Today the image of the "Sorrowful Mother of Poland" is the centerpiece of the magnificent Basilica of Lichen which visited by Pope John Paul II in 1999. Return to Warsaw for dinner and overnight.
Day 4
Morning tour of Warsaw with a walk through the Old Town. See the Barbican, (16th century fortress which protected the city in the past), the Market Square, St. John's Arch Cathedral (resting place of Blessed Cardinal Stephan Wyszynski, Primate of Poland), the Royal Castle, the Presidential Palace and the Nowy Swiat pedestrian street where you can see the monument dedicated to the renowned astronomer, Nicolaus Copernicus. This afternoon travel east to the Niepokalanow (City of the Immaculata). Here, learn about the life and work of St. Maximilian Kolbe, one of the 20th century's most profound saints and a martyr. Continue to Czestochowa for check in. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5
This morning visit Poland's most revered site, the Shrine of the Black Madonna (Jasna Gora Sanctuary). For more than 6 centuries pilgrims have come here to pray before the miraculous icon of Our Lady which, according to tradition, was painted by St. Luke the Evangelist. See the ancient icon and learn of its awesome history and the many miracles attributed to it. Continue on to Krakow, one of the most beautiful cities of Europe noted for its well-preserved medieval sites. Mid-afternoon arrival and check-in. Enjoy some free time at leisure in the city center. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
Day 6
Enjoy a tour of the jeweled city of Krakow starting with the Wawel Castle, built in the 14th century and home to the kings of Poland. Learn about the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth established in 1569 and lasted until 1795 when Poland was partitioned off to three neighboring powers. Visit the Wawel Cathedral which was so dear to Pope John Paul II. It was here that Karol Wojtyla celebrated his first Mass, was consecrated bishop, installed as archbishop and later a Cardinal. Continue on to Market Square passing by the famous Papal Window. See the iconic Cloth Hall dating back to the Renaissance period and the magnificent St. Mary's Church. This afternoon, travel to nearby Wadowice, known as a "Papal City" as it is the birthplace and home of Karol Wojtyla, who later became St. Pope John Paul II. Here, visit his childhood home and the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary where he was baptized and where he served early Mass as a young boy. Enjoy some free time in the town center and be sure to try the famous Krmeowka (cream cake), a favorite dessert of the Holy Father. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
Day 7
This morning experience the world renowned Wieliczka Salt Mines, a designated UNESCO world heritage site. This afternoon visit the Shrine of Divine Mercy. Relish in the presence of the Image of Divine Mercy. It was the young Sister Faustina Kowalska who was the recipient of the Lord's messages of Divine Mercy. See the chapel and relics. Spend time with one of the Divine Mercy Sisters who will share the message and have time to pray quietly on your own. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
Day 8
Bid farewell to Krakow. The first stop of the day will be in Auschwitz for an opportunity to honor the memory of all those who endured the Holocaust Camp at Auschwitz where the Nazis brutally took the lives of over a million people - Jewish brethren along with amultitude of Polish Catholics. Among the most notable killed were Edith Stein (St. Teresa Benedicta) and St. Maximilian Kolbe. Visit the cell of St. Maximilian Kolbe and learn of his heroic act of love of giving up his life to save the life of another prisoner. Continue southeast crossing the Polish/Czech border into the region of Silesia. Late afternoon arrival in the beautiful city of Brno, the capital of Moravia, a region located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Dinner and overnight in Brno.
Day 9
This morning experience the best of Brno, a city rich in history and Catholic tradition offering pilgrims a spiritual experience while visiting its sacred sites, the Cathedral of Sts. Peter & Paul and the Baroque Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Stroll through the Old Town to see the landmark dragon and the modern architectural Tugendhat Villa. Continue the scenic drive northwest into the region of central Bohemia. Dinner and overnight in Prague, capitol city of the Czech Republic.
Day 10
Experience a full day in the beautiful city of Prague starting at the Hradcany Castle, Cathedral of St. Vitus, the Royal Castle and St. George Basilica. Then take a walk over the River Vltava on the amazing medieval stone arch bridge constructed in the 12th century passing by the Statue dedicated to St. John Nepomuk known as a martyr of the confessional. Visit the Church of Our Lady Victorious to venerate the statue of the Infant of Prague. Learn about the many miracles attributed to the Infant Jesus and how devotion to Him spread throughout the world. Later this afternoon enjoy some free time for lunch on Wenceslas Square. See the Astronomical Clock on Market Square and perhaps take a tour of the famous Klementimum, considered the most beautiful library in the world. Farewell dinner and overnight.
Day 11
Transfer to nearby Prague Airport for mid-morning flight to Frankfurt on Lufthansa Airlines to connect to flight to Orlando. Late afternoon arrival into Orlando (MCO).
