Join Fr. Kareem Smith on a pilgrimage to beautiful France! Visit two of the most beautiful French Cathedrals of Rouen and Chartres. Experience the best of French culture including the paintings of the 19th century impressionist artist, Claude Monet. Visit the famous Arromanches Museum on the Normandy coast to learn about historic D-Day Landings in June of 1944. Enjoy the scenic landscapes of Normandy. Cross the channel to the visit the Island Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, one of the most visited sites in France. Touch upon the lives of the numerous great saints including St. Joan of Arc, St. Therese of Lisieux and St. Catherine Labouré. Take a river cruise along the River Seine to see the most important monuments and buildings of Paris including the Eiffel Tower. Finally enter the newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris.

Day 1 - October 3rd


Evening departure from New York JFK abord a nonstop American Airlines flight to Paris. 

Day 2 - October 4th


Morning arrival into Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport - Welcome to France! Board our luxury coach and travel west in the beautiful region of Normandy with a first stop in Giverny to see the Monet Gardens. Visit the house and gardens of Claude Monet. Walk the pedestrian street with museums and artists exhibits. Midafternoon arrival the city of Rouen for check in and overnight. 

Day 3 - October 5th


Today enjoy a relaxed day visiting nearby Lisieux to take in all the sites connected with the life of St. Therese of Lisieux. Proclaimed a Doctor of the Church by Pope John Paul II in 1997, young Therese lived a heroic life as a Carmelite nun and touched the lives of millions of faithful with her missionary spirit and writings as exemplified in the "Little Way". In Lisieux, visit the Maison Les Buissonnets (family home), the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre (where the family attended), the Carmel (where she entered in 1888 and died in 1897), the grand Basilica of Lisieux which contains the reliquary of this great saint. Return to Rouen for overnight. 

Day 4 - October 6th


 Day to enjoy Rouen, one of the most delightful cities in France. Take in the sites of Rouen including the exquisite Gothic Cathedral of Notre-Dame (tallest in France), the medieval timber framed buildings, the astronomical clock called the Gros Horloge. Take a stroll through the Place du Vieux-Marche where St. Joan of Arc, Patroness of France, met her death by fire in 1431. Enjoy some free time in Rouen before departing for Port En Bessin near Omaha Beach on the Normandy coast. Check-in and overnight. 

Day 5 - October 7th


 A day dedicated to the memory of the heroic soldiers and allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy to liberate France from German Occupation - See the sites of the D-Day Landings of 1944 including a visit to the Arromanches Museum, Omaha Beach and the solemn American Cemetery, burial site of over 9300 brave soldiers. Dinner and overnight in Port En Bessin. 

Day 6 - October 8th


Morning departure travel southwest through Normandy. Visit one of the most prominent sites in all of France, the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, situated on rocky perch separated from the mainland by shallow bay which can be crossed on foot during low tide. Today there is a modern causeway allowing access to island and abbey. Visit the Benedictine Abbey built in the 9th century after St. Michael the Archangel appeared to a local bishop in a dream and instructed him to have the Abbey built. For centuries, it has been a destination for pilgrims. Overnight in Mont Saint-Michel. 

Day 7 - October 9th


 Morning departure and travel east toward Paris. Early afternoon arrival in Chartres. Here visit one of the most important cathedrals in all of Europe, noted for its stained-glass windows. Continue to the nearby city of Rambouillet for dinner and overnight.   

Day 8 - October 10th


After a walk around the Château de Rambouillet, depart for Paris, the city of Lights. One of the first sites upon descending the hills into Paris is the Eiffel Tower. Enjoy the afternoon in Paris visiting the Sacre Coeur on Mont Montmartre and a boat ride on the River Seine. Check in and overnight in Paris. 

Day 9 - October 11th


Full day in Paris to visit take in the sites of Paris with a panoramic tour by coach driving along the Champs-Élysées. See the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. Visit the newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral and the Miraculous Medal Chapel. Farewell dinner and overnight. 

Day 10 - October 12th


Morning transfer to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Mid-day departure from onboard an American Airlines nonstop flight to New York JFK.
