Highlights

Beginning in Krakow, the beloved city of Pope John Paul II, take in the sights of this ancient royal city and visit Divine Mercy Shrine, the physical heart of the Divine Mercy message. Also see the oldest operational salt mine in the world and the resort village of Zakopane with it's Shrine to Our Lady of Fatima.

Visit the beautiful Shrine of the Black Madonna in Czestochowa and Niepokalanow, the City of Immaculata, founded by St. Maxmilian Kolbe, before arriving in the fascinating historical capital of Warsaw.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Evening departure from NY JFK on an overnight non-stop flight to Warsaw, Poland.

Day 2 - Morning arrival in Warsaw and transfer on-board a flight to the royal city of Krakow, situated in southern Poland on the banks of the River Vistula. Considered to be the spiritual heart of Poland, Krakow is blessed with over 200 churches. C heck-in at our hotel in the city center and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 3 - Enjoy a full day in Krakow. Set out on a morning tour to see the city’s most important religious and cultural sites; Krakow Cathedral (where Pope John Paul II was ordained in 1946 ), Wawel Royal Castle, Jagiellonian University and Market Square (one of the most beautiful medieval city centers in Europe). Afternoon visit to the Shrine of Divine Mercy on the outskirts of Krakow where Our Lord entrusted St. Faustina Kowalska with promulgating His Message of Merciful Love for humanity (1931-1938).

Day 4 - Morning excursion to the Salt Mine of Wieliczka, the oldest operational salt mine in Europe. Afternoon return to Krakow for time to explore old town Krakow at your leisure.

Day 5 - Morning departure from Krakow for the resort village of Zakopane, nestled amongst the towering peaks and rocky cliffs of the Tatras mountain range on the Polish/Slovakian border. Upon arrival, visit Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, dedicated in honor of Pope John Paul II. Also enjoy the other sights of this delightful village famous for it’s typical wooden architecture. Continue on to Wadowice, the city where Pope John Paul II was born in 1920. Overnight near Wadowice.

Day 6 - Morning departure for Czestochowa, stopping en-route in Auschwitz to visit the prison where St. Maximilain Kolbe heroically gave his life for a fellow prisoner in August of 1941. Late-afternoon arrival in Czestochowa and check-in at our hotel near the Shrine of the Black Madonna.

Day 7 - Morning visit to the Shrine of the Black Madonna (Jasna Gora Sanctuary) in Czestochowa. For over six centuries, pilgrims have come here to pray before a miraculous icon of Our Lady said to have been painted by St. Luke the Evangelist. See the icon and learn of it’s history and the many miracles relating to it. Afternoon departure northwards for Warsaw stopping en-route in Niepokalanow, the “City of the Immaculata”, a Franciscan Friary established by Saint Maximilian Kolbe (1920’s) to spread Marian devotion through the media. Early evening arrival and check-in at our hotel in Warsaw, the new Capital City of Poland.

Day 8 - Full day in Warsaw for touring in the morning and time at leisure in the afternoon. Learn about the amazing history of this city that was almost completely destroyed during WWII and from 1945 onwards rebuilt by the remaining 1/3 of it’s inhabitants. See Old Town, Royal Castle, magical Lazienki Park & Palace, the Warsaw Ghetto, Chopin Monument and more. Also visit the tomb of the newly beatified parish priest from Warsaw, Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko, a dear friend of Pope John Paul II’s, who was martyred in 1984 during Communism’s rule in Poland. Overnight in Warsaw.

Day 9 - Mid-day departure from Warsaw on a flight to New York. Afternoon arrival at NY JFK Airport.
